Spring 2009/Summer 2010 Announcement
For Mathematics Teachers of Algebra Support, Algebra I, or 7th/8th grade mathematics. The focus will be on integrating the use of educational gaming software and mathematics materials developed for use with robotics in the classroom.

WVU C&I 647 (3 cr) Science/Math Applications for Nutrition/Energy Content  (Spring, 2010) is rich in "real world" examples of math as a tool to do science and science as a context to learn math. Examines sustainability issues that integrate public and environmental health, e.g., human powered transit, built environment, food production, and chronic disease.  Registration details : Two sections available:  001 or 7D1.  Instructor: jim.rye@mail.wvu.edu . Majority of class asynchronous (eCampus) beginning 1/11; includes synchronous (eCampus) WIMBA Live meetings 7:30p-9p on Mondays of 1/25, 2/8, 2/22, 3/8, 4/5, 4/19, 4/26.
